The Specials
(Weekday, Weekly, and Remote Collar)
Weekday (Mon-Fri/Sat) - Two week commitment
Weekly (Sat-Fri/Sat) - Two week commitment
Our modified in-board programs are meant to be a small piece of the puzzle. These programs are designed to give owners, who are currently enrolled (or planning to enroll) in private lessons, a leg up, help refresh previous campers skills, teach a single skill, provide a solid foundation in which to build future training, or for those looking for a little extra from their boarding experience. These in-board programs are in no way designed to be a complete training program, but rather a small piece of a much larger training program. Often we require clients participating in modified in-board training programs to also be enrolled in private lessons. While in the program, dogs typically receive several training sessions per day. One lesson is included with the program at the end of the in-board and will help familiarize owners with what their dog has learned while with us.
The Starter
(4-5 week in-board)
Our Starter In-Board program is a four to five week° training program with three follow up lessons and phone and email support. This program is designed to give you a head start in your training goals but will require that you attend all three follow up lessons to continue with the training once the dog returns home. The first private lesson will be conducted when the dog is picked up and it is designed to familiarize the owner(s) with the commands the dog has been taught. The second lesson is typically scheduled 2-3 weeks after the dog returns home. The third private lesson can be scheduled any time within a year of program completion. This program will cover crate training, loose leash walking, socialization, engagement and focus, on-leash manners including: sit, down, recall and stay, in-house manners including: go to bed and leave-it. Dog(s) will primarily reside in the home of the trainer, under the trainer’s care or the care of a training associate, dog sitter or another trainer.
°Training time may be extended as the trainer deems necessary. No additional cost will be associated with this additional training time unless it is first discussed with the owner.
The Starter - 4-5 weeks
The Main Course
(6-8 week in-board)
Our Main Course In-Board program is an six to eight week° training program with four lessons and
phone and email support. The first lesson will be conducted one to two weeks before the completion of the in-board portion of the program. The second lesson is conducted when the dog is picked up and it is designed to familiarize the owner(s) with the commands the dog has been taught. The remaining private lessons are generally scheduled at least two weeks after the dog has been returned but can be scheduled at any time after the dog returns up to one year from the end date of training.
This program will cover crate training, loose leash walking, engagement and focus, on-leash manners including: sit, down, recall and stay, in-house manners including: go to bed, off and leave-it, and off-leash manners including: heel, recall and stay. Typically we require the use of a remote collar for management once the dog returns home.
The success of this program will heavily rely on the owners’ continued work once the dog comes home. Dog(s) will primarily reside in the home of the trainer, under the trainer’s care or the care of a training associate, employees or dog sitters.
°Training time may be extended as the trainer deems necessary. No additional cost will be associated with this additional training time unless it is first discussed with the owner.
